LECTORSLectors proclaim the "Word of God" at Mass. They are expected to spend time in preparation each time they proclaim the Word.
Requires the ability to read in public. Initial screening done at training sessions. Those who do not have the skill to properly execute this ministry will be directed and welcomed to serve in one of the other liturgical ministries. On going formation and assistance will be provided for those who need additional help.
HOSPITALITY/USHER MINISTERSHospitality/Usher Minister welcome people at the doors of the church. They take up the offering and may present the gifts of bread and wine. People in this ministry are expected to arrive at Mass at least 20 minutes prior to the beginning of the Liturgy.
Requires people-oriented individuals (both men and women) with ability and willingness to anticipate and serve the needs of others, and performed the tasks during the liturgy with reverence. MUSIC MINISTERSMusic Ministers facilitate the singing at all our Sunday Liturgies and all sacramental celebrations and rites of the Church, as well as special events throughout the year. We need choral singers, cantors, and instrumentalists.
Music for our liturgical celebrations is arranged and prepared through our Music Ministry Program. Those people interested can attend rehearsals on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m., or call the office and ask to speak to our Music Director, Dr. Nansi Carroll. We provide the musical training necessary for this ministry; no prior special training is required. More information is available at the Music Ministry section of our website.

EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNIONEMHC help with the distribution of the "Body and Blood of the Lord" at Masses. They may also take communion to the sick or homebound if they are interested in assisting with this ministry.
Must be at least 18 years of age. Both men and women are welcome. Requires the physical ability to maneuver liturgical vessels with reverence and dignity and the ability to observe a reverent and prayerful attitude while being comfortable handling the sacred species. This ministry is greatly enhanced by the minister's concern and care for the poor, the hungry, and the needy. ALTAR SERVERSAltar Servers assist the priest at the altar during the liturgy and facilitate ritual activity and movement during the liturgical celebration.
Adults and Young (10 years old and above), male and female are welcome. Must have stage presence, be comfortable wearing an alb, and being in front of large crowds. Must be able to follow directions and execute regular liturgical procedures without calling attention to one's self.
