RCIA, the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, was conceived in the wake of Vatican II with the intent to invite more people into full communion with the Catholic Church, while at the same time renewing our communities within.
RCIA sessions are held in conjunction with the 5:30 Mass on Sunday evenings.
Candidates and Catechumens meet with Catechists for the first sessions (during Mass). Sponsors join the group during the second sessions, which are held immediately following Mass and the evenings conclude with a community meal in the Lounge.
Highlights of the program include our Advent, Lenten and Holy Week Retreats, and the culmination of the journey of initiation which is the celebration of the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist at the Easter Vigil Mass.
