Alpha is a three-day weekend retreat which takes place once each semester. It is a chance to spend some time away from the craziness of college life and get to know more about yourself, deepen your relationship with God, and learn more about the awesome student community here at St. Augustine's.

October 22-24. Look for registration forms the first week of fall classes!
Where is Alpha?
Alpha takes place each semester at Camp Crystal Lake, about 45 minutes northeast of Gainesville.
When is the next one?
This semester’s Alpha is
October 22-24. We’ll meet at 5pm on Friday, October 22 at Hurley Hall and carpool from there. We’ll return at approximately 5pm on Sunday,October 24.
What does it cost?
The cost of the retreat is $55 - $10 deposit and the remaining $45 due on the Friday of the retreat. This covers meals, housing, transportation and supplies. Some scholarship funding is available. Contact Ashley D’Emo at ashleyedemo@gmail.com for more details.
What should I bring?

A sleeping bag (or sheets and a blanket) – we sleep in cabins with bunk beds
- A pillow
- Toiletries and towels
- Shower shoes
- Clothes for warm and cool weather, especially a sweatshirt
- Bible, journal, rosary etc.
- A flashlight is helpful
- A snack for the group – chips, cookies, etc.
How do I sign up?
Applications will be available in the front office of St. Augustine Church starting the week before classes begin for the fall semester.
