Faith Formation Director

The Director of Faith Formation and Youth Ministry is responsible for the administration of Faith Formation and Youth Ministry programs  at St. Augustine Church. 

In that role, this person:    

• develops and coordinates curriculum for each program 
• promotes programming among parish members 
• recruits, trains and monitors catechists  (religion teachers) 
• keeps necessary records 
• evaluates program effectiveness 
• manages the budget for these programs 
• represents and advocates for Faith Formation on Parish committees and staff meetings 
• represents St. Augustine at Diocesan gatherings

• Over 39 years of ministry experience in the church 
• M.Ed. from Boston College; B.A. in Religious Studies from Mercy College of Detroit 
• Nationally Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) through National Council of Family Relations 
• Professional Storyteller, experienced public speaker, published author 
• Married to Theresa for 34 years, father of 3 adult children, grandfather to 5!
